Glory of the Snow (Chionodoxa Forbesii)it is a perennial growing up to 15 cm with small, star-shaped flowers, blooming in spring. It looks perfect in a bed with other small plants, as well as in a rock garden or a larger container on a balcony or terrace.
It grows bestin sunny and semi-shaded positions. It also blooms in the shade, but not as lush as in the sun. It feels best on light, well-drained soil.
Plant the Śnieżnik bulbs you can fall (September to November) or spring (April to May).
It is a frost-resistant plantbut when the winter is harsh and snowless, it may freeze, so it is worth covering it gently. For the winter, flower beds should be covered with a layer of mulch - made of bark, leaves or straw. In spring, the plants should be watered so that they have a constantly moist soil. You also need to take care of weeding regularly.
After flowering the bulbs can be left in the same place for several years or dug up at the end of July and stored until next season in a dry cool place.
