Nigrum Garlic is a variety that grows up to a height of 70 cm by compact inflorescence arranged like an umbrella. Garlic flowers usually bloom in May-June.
Grows best in a sunny or semi-sunny position in deeply cultivated, permeable and humus soil. They also like to be provided with sufficient soil moisture. Autumn planting is from September to November. The bulbs are placed to a depth of approx. 10-15 cm at intervals of approx. 20 cm.
In spring , soil should be loosened and weeded properly. Water on average once a week in drought conditions until the end of flowering.
Nutrients in the form of fertilizers (preferably multi-ingredient) should be given 2-3 times during intensive growth.
After flowering , it is a good idea to trim the inflorescences so that they do not form seeds. Thanks to this, all the energy of the plant will go to building the onion. Garlic can be grown on the same site for 2-3 years.
For storage dig the onion out after the leaves are dry, dry and keep in a dry and airy place until replanting.
