Description
Passiflora caerulea or Passion Flower is an extremely decorative plant that produces extremely attractive flowers with a diameter of up to 10 cm, which bloom only for 24 hours. It is a climber, it needs a solid support for proper growth. It produces a large green mass, grows up to 10 m in length. In our climate, the plant is grown only in containers, it does not winter in the ground. In summer it can be placed outside on the balcony or terrace. Is a plant quite easy to grow but sensitive to errors and low temperatures.
Passiflora requires for fertile, humus-rich and nutrient-rich soil and a warm place in full sun. In the spring and summer months, the plant should be regularly irrigated and soil desiccation should not be allowed, and the fertilizer for flowering plants should be fed solidly. It requires wintering at approx. 10 ° C to flower.
