Description
The pheromone trap to reduce the occurrence of fruit borer is an indispensable tool for monitoring the presence of apple fruit borer (Cydia pomonella) in the garden or orchard. Thanks to its effectiveness and environmentally safe properties, it is an excellent method of controlling and reducing the population of these pests of fruit trees. After noticing the accumulation of butterflies of the pest on the traps, it is recommended to use appropriate plant protection products.
Way of use
Remove the trap from the pheromone protection package.
Hang the trap on the tree with the included string (preferably at a height of about 1.5-2.5m).
Check the trap regularly - every 2-3 days.
Use the traps continuously from May until the end of August.
The trap maintains its effectiveness for a period of 2 months after hanging. In case of heavy soiling (dust, pollen, insects, it is recommended to replace the trap earlier.
Plots and home gardens: Depending on the size of the tree, it is recommended to use 1 or 2 traps. One trap is sufficient for small trees, while two traps are recommended for medium and large trees.
Plantations and orchards: For larger areas such as plantations and orchards, 2 traps are recommended for every 1.5 hectares of area.
