The pheromone trap from the Agrecol series Natura is an effective tool in the fight against the horse chestnut pest - the chestnut beetle (Cameraria ohridella ). It selectively attracts and catches only those insects that we want to get rid of, which is why it is safe for pollinators. The trap is covered with a sticky glue containing pheromonesthat attract harmful leafminer butterflies. The use of the trap contributes to reducing leaf damage caused by pest larvae. The special design of the trap prevents it from being polluted by falling leaves, which increases its effectiveness in the fight against the pest. Catching pests with a trap allows you to monitor their presence.

The trap does not contain any harmful chemicals, which makes it safe for the environment, people, pets and pollinating insects.

Application

All chestnut species:

• small tree: 2 traps
• medium and large tree: 5 traps

Usage

Remove the trap from the pheromone protective packaging and hang it on the tree using the attached string.

• Trap period: For best results, trap continuously from mid-April to late September.
• Trap life: The trap works for 2 months from the moment of suspension (in case of heavy contamination with dust, insects or pollen, the trap should be replaced sooner).
• Location to hang the trap: For large trees, place the traps evenly at the ends of the branches, for small trees at a height of 1.5-2 m. Choose places with the least sunlight.
• Trap Check: Regularly check the trap condition every 2-3 days.
