Soil ph meter Target
Description
TARGET Soil pH Testing Kit
Set to check the pH of the soil in the garden, lawn and pot. Checking the soil pH (pH) allows you to select the right substrate for the plants you have already planted, or to select the right type of planting to match the soil properties.
Soil pH is an important factor in determining the viability of your soil, as well as the solubility and availability of many nutrients necessary for proper plant development. The optimum pH for most plants is between 5.0 and 7.0, but there are some species that require typically acidic soil, e.g. rhododendron, blueberry, and some conifers. Growing them in soil with the wrong pH results in poor growth and increased susceptibility to disease. A table with optimum pH values for the most commonly grown plants is included on a leaflet inside the pack.
Directions for use:
Place a soil sample(preferably from a depth of 10cm)in a clean dish and mix with 10ml. distilled water. After the soil falls to the bottom of the vessel, dip the indicator bar for 1 second in water, so that the whole indicator part is in the water. After about 30seconds you can read the result.,comparing the colors on the strip with the scale on the leaflet inside the package.
The package contains:
10 pieces of indicator strips
distilled water 100ml
Storage: Store in a dry and cool place.
